~ an album for my mother ~

Hello Peeps... I'm here, all excited today. This coming weekend, we get to celebrate MOTHER'S DAY!! That's awesome isn't it? I love my mom! :) Here's her life story in a nutshell:

- Engaged at 18 - Married at 20 - 10 children born to her and Daddy in the next 20 years -

Of course that is not ALL she did, but that's all you need to know about her :) ... she is the most generous, warm hearted and special person I know.

 
Today I got a delicious, delicious bundle from Crafty Secrets... yummo!!! I was supposed to be working on stuff for the brother's wedding, but I promptly threw them down and dove into these goodies (what would you have done if you were me?)

First I cut one A4 sheet of cardstock into four pieces and joined them at the spine using strong adhesive. If you score about 2cm in from the spine, the book opens nicely without any resistance.

And then I had the best fun using the Love you Mother stamp set and Creative Scraps and Journal Notes ...

 
 

(whazzup with those fuzzy spots over these photos? I have no clue. Grrr.)

 Anywho, those are the inner pages of the little card book for Mom. little pockets tucked inside for us kiddoes to write notes for her.

And guess what, I was so absorbed in doing the book that I didn't hear her come into the room... and then I heard "Ooooh is that for me??" Hahaha. Can't ever keep secrets from Mom!

Now the little book is all ready for us to fill in and give to Mom. I hope every one of you will have the best Mother's day yourself. I know many of you are mothers yourselves. What would we ever do without Moms?? And some day I hope I will be one myself, and one just as good as my own.

That's it from me for today. I hope to be back by the weekend, but if not, you'll know I'm busy doing something else :) .. working on the wreath for the wedding now... maybe I'll show you a picture when I'm done.
